ABOUT THE AUTHOR & ILLUSTRATOR
Barbara Linert is the author and illustrator of "Tales of A Dog Named Kitty." In her first children's book, she shares the real-life stories of her favorite pup, told from the dog’s point of view.
Barbara is a grandma, retired from various and sundry careers from accounting to politics. Barbara grew up in rural Minnesota riding horses, milking cows and doing chores with cousins on their grandparent’s farm near Plummer; but Thief River Falls is her home town. She studied art in college and her home is decorated with her work.
She and her husband live in Eagan in the historic Trapp family farmhouse that they have lovingly restored. She spends her time gardening and enjoying her family: three happily-married daughters who have given her eight grandchildren and a plethora of grand-animals. Including a dog named Kitty, who went to college but never caught a squirrel.
